Abarth will arrive at London’s Salon Privé next month with the British public debut of the exciting new Scorpionissima 500e, the first all-electric Abarth. The new Abarth 500e Scorpionissima is a collectible launch edition of the new Abarth 500e range, created in conjunction with the Abarth community itself. It is available in bright Acid Green paint, a bold new color option, with the equally striking Poison Blue tint. Only 1,949 Abarth 500e Scorpionissima will be produced, a number that pays homage to the year the brand was born.
Special features of the new Abarth 500e Scorpionissima include diamond-cut 18-inch gray titanium alloy wheels, distinctive front and rear Abarth lettering, and an “electrified” version of the famous Abarth Scorpion signature logo. Hatchback and convertible versions are available, all with a sporty body kit that includes a white front dyke and a distinctive rear diffuser.
The new Abarth 500e Scorpionissima has performance to match its looks; With 155PS from the high output electric motor, 0-100km/h in just 7.0 seconds, and 12-25mph urban speed, it is 50% faster than its petrol counterpart. The new electric 500e is one second quicker than the Abarth’s powerful petrol turbo 695 on the company’s famous Balocco test track. It also has a unique soundtrack thanks to a signature sound generator that replicates the sound effects that abarthists were looking for.
A 42kWh battery gives the Abarth 500e Scorpionissima ample range, and comes standard with an 85kW fast charging system. This means up to 25 miles of range can be added in under five minutes, and can be quickly charged to 80% battery capacity in just 35 minutes.
Abarth will also be showing other exciting models from its range at Salon Privé London 2023, including the Abarth 695 2023 model with a bright orange livery.
