TikTok announced a new way to make money with effects created for the app.

Make money creating effects on TikTok

Team from tick tock announced that they were launching a new fund called “Effect Makers Rewards”, designed to reward securities makers. This fund has a base of 6 million dollars, and will be used to pay creators according to the scope of the effect and user commitment.

However, there are some details to be aware of. For example, this proposal only includes creators who create effects using Effect House, TikTok’s AR development platform. Remember that through this tool, users can create, publish and share effects on Tiktok.

On the other hand, only creators located in eligible countries can be a part of this initiative. Currently, the new TikTok backgrounds are available in the United States, Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom, and Spain.

How much does TikTok pay to create effects that are shared on the app?

Payment for creating an effect with Effect House will depend on the reach each effect has within 90 days of publication. That is, the number of videos that used the effect in that time period.

As the TikTok team mentioned, for each effect used on 500,000 unique videos in that time period, the creator will receive $700. And they will receive an additional $140 for every 100,000 videos totaling 500,000. Of course, as long as it’s within the 90 day period.

This is the payout announced at launch, but this may change in the future. On the other hand, TikTok has not said whether it will support this initiative once the money allocated for the new fund is spent.
