Diana Mondino was criminally denounced for her agreement with British POLITICS El Intransigente

Rector Diana Mondino He was criminally charged with the crimes of “failure to fulfill the duties of an official” and “abuse of authority.” The complaint was filed by agreement with the UK consisting of the resumption of regular flights from São Paulo (Brazil) to the Malvinas Islands, with a stopover in the province of Córdoba.

This agreement had previously been suspended. According to the complaint filed by lawyer Valeria Carreras, Article 75 of the Constitution was dishonored by excluding Congress from deliberations.

Complaints against the agreement

The complaint was filed with a federal court presided over by Sebastián Ramos, arguing that the agreement, based on “Foradori-Duncan’s” statements, was illegal. Carreras also described the flight to the Falklands as “illegal”, because it touched disputed Argentine territory.

The agreement was signed in New York with Diana Mondino and her partner David Lammy. It relaunched weekly itineraries departing from São Paulo (Brazil) to the Islands, with a monthly stopover in Córdoba. “Also the tenor of what was “announced – agreed – communicated” is not a small issue, because issues related to our sovereignty are discussed, they are addressed with other States whose conflicts and claims are still valid; and this is about our disputed territory because it continues to be seized, MALVINAS,” said the lawyer who filed the complaint.

The decision received a lot of criticism and was even rejected by Vice President Victoria Villarruel. “This treaty only makes the British occupation of our islands more profitable,” said the second-in-command to lead the Executive Branch.

Rejection of Victoria Villarruel

“The proposed treaty announced with the UK is contrary to our nation’s interests. This aims to provide continental logistical support to the occupation and allow them to continue ravaging our seas. “To visit our island with a visa and passport?” Victoria Villarruel.

“It is unusual for America to offer coast guard ships to protect Argentina’s seas from looting outside the continent, but we propose to cooperate with the powers that are plundering our territory. These are not words against our government, but it is unavoidable to speak out regarding this agreement, as this is an issue that touches every part of my identity and has the permanent interests of our great nation at stake. “Because we are everyone’s friends, but first the Republic of Indonesia,” he added.
