Castle will not reveal what kind of changes will be made.

Flag at half mast

On Saturday, it is planned that King Harald and Queen Sonja will travel to Copenhagen to celebrate Queen Margrethe of Denmark’s 50th anniversary as regent.

– Our thoughts go out to His Royal Highness the King and his immediate family on the passing of Queen Elizabeth. For a century, the Queen devoted herself faithfully to her work and accompanied the British people through ups and downs, in good times and bad. Our condolences also go out to the British people, His Royal Highness King Harald said in a statement from the Palace.

– Great respect

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) told Dagbladet he has great respect for Queen Elizabeth’s work.

– The historic era and longevity in the service of Great Britain is over, says the Prime Minister.

– For seven decades, he has represented continuity and unity, also in the close relationship between our two countries and our royal family. Our warmest thoughts now go out to the many people in England and the Commonwealth of Nations who have lost a beloved king, and to the Queen’s immediate family.

– Great sadness

Conservative leader Erna Solberg also commented on the deaths.

– It is with great sadness that we all receive the news that Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain has died, Solberg told Dagbladet.

– Only 25 years old, he took over in 1952 as head of state and king after his father, King Georg VI, died of cancer. For more than 70 years, he has been on the throne, making a major contribution to survival in a rapidly changing and radically changing world.

– Thank you for your tireless efforts and your invaluable contribution to the world, Queen Elizabeth.

– God save the Queen!
