Alfa Romeo Prepares Trio for Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​​​​Debuts

At this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the new Alfa Romeo Tonale will make its dynamic UK debut as it tackles the famous Hillclimb. On Saturday, Tonale will complete the 1.16-mile Hillclimb with Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN driver Zhou Guanyu at the helm. Alfa Romeo will also showcase the new Giulia and Stelvio ESTREMA models, aimed at encouraging purists.

Tonale launches Alfa Romeo into a new era of electrification, retaining its Italian DNA of sportsmanship and beauty. Designed to combine electrification and cutting-edge technology with signature style, the Tonale is the Italian brand’s first midsize SUV.

At the helm of the Tonale on Saturday will be Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN driver Zhou Guanyu. The new Tonale is the most advanced Alfa Romeo ever, and includes connectivity with Amazon and a new infotainment system that can be customized with 4G connectivity and Over The Air (OTA) updates. The system consists of a 12.3-inch digital display and a 10.25-inch main touchscreen, which, with a total size of 22.5 inches, is the largest in its segment.

The Tonale is the first vehicle to be equipped with a digital non-fungible token (NFT) certificate. Designed to be able to record a car’s complete history throughout its lifetime, NFTs can be used to prove a car’s maintenance record and support its residual value.

Equipped with a 160 hp hybrid electric motor, the Alfa Romeo Tonale is available in Ti or Veloce versions. An exclusive launch version of ‘EDIZIONE SPECIALE’ will also be available. UK customers will be able to pre-order the new Tonale later this summer. Before the end of the year, a 275 hp plug-in hybrid version with all-wheel drive Q4 will also be added.

ESTREMA The ESTREMA special series is based on the Veloce variants from Giulia and Stelvio to offer the perfect combination of technical refinement, driving pleasure and sporty luxury. Equipped with an adaptive Alfa Synaptic Dynamic Control (SDC) suspension and a limited-slip differential, the ESTREMA variant offers uncompromising grip and traction in a variety of conditions. The Giulia and Stelvio ESTREMA are equipped with an Alfa Romeo 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine producing 280 hp. Alternatively, the Stelvio is also available with a 210hp 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine and both are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

There are visual cues on the exterior and interior that define the sporty look of the ESTREMA. These include the carbon fiber mirror caps and ‘V’ front grille, dark ESTREMA badging, and dark 19-inch five-hole alloy wheels on the Giulia and 21-inch wheels on the Stelvio. The same sporty look and feel can be found inside, where carbon fiber accents accentuate the cabin, along with Alcantara® and leather upholstery with red stitching. The 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system completes the standard specifications.
