It The British Embassy invites Costa Rican professionals to apply for Chevening program scholarships. The diplomatic mission indicated that they were looking for committed Ticos who wanted to have a positive impact on the country.
Those who won the scholarshipThey will have full financial support to study the Masters of their choice at any UK university.

Chevening Scholarships are awarded by the British Embassy to people with great leadership skills and social commitment, who wish to produce positive change in Costa Rica by the end of the programme.
According to the British Embassy no special quota is estimated, during this month, 4 Costa Ricans who registered the previous year were selected; so those who apply this year will be one of the September 2023 scholarship holders.
These are four Costa Ricans selected for the program:
- Katherine Arroyo, who will study Marine Ecosystems and Policy at the University of Edinburgh.
- Alejandra Gómez, who will be pursuing a master’s degree in Power, Participation and Social Change at the University of Sussex.
- Oscar Gutiérrez, who will complete a course on Public Policy Innovation and Public Value at University College London.
- Javier Vives, who will take a master’s degree in Global Development at Queen Mary University in London.
