Under the new rules, Covit-19 patients who are clinically classified as mild/asymptomatic are eligible for home isolation.
Patients over 60 years of age and those with comorbidities will be allowed to self-isolate at home only after proper medical evaluation.
“Home isolation after 7 days of positive testing without fever for 3 consecutive days after which no further testing is required. People with asymptomatic contacts do not need to undergo the Govit-19 test,” the Health Ministry said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday said that the emigrant variant of Govit-19 is spreading rapidly compared to other genres and one should be careful there but be careful not to create panic.
“Compared to previous variations, Omicron is spreading rapidly…very contagious…our health professionals are evaluating the situation. It is clear that we must ensure that we avoid panic.
