Very strong by junior Sivert Ekroll in the UCI Junior Series MTB, who came in 4th after a tough start from starting number 70. Delighted by Denmark win by Gustav Pedersen. Germany’s Paul Schehl is No. 2 and Nathan Corrillon of France No. 3. Sivert is only 1.18 behind the winner. Martin Farstadvoll had a tough day and Mats Koritov completed a great run and was number 38 out of 140 entrants.
In the women’s race at the UCI Junior Series MTB, Lisa Kristine Jorde took a nice 32nd place. Here there are 80 riders.
Hedda Brenningen Bjørklund didn’t have a day and struggled in the U23s for the women’s team and finished in 68th place. The winner here is Line Burquier from France. It went better in the U23 class for men, where Ole Sigurd Rekdahl was 31st out of 160 riders. William Høines Larsen enters in 62nd place.
Ingrid Sofie Bøe Jacobsen got a big boost this weekend and became No. 1. 40. Rebecca Ellen McConnell from Australia who won in the women’s elite class.
Elite boys have a breakthrough as a team – the unofficial top three of all teams. Emil Hasund Eid is No. 21 after a strong ride. Lost 1 minute in the first round due to queuing, but rode the whole way. Finished 3.01 behind the winner. Mats Tubaas Glende continues after a fine weekend at Albstadt and is No. 35. Knut Røhme also delivered a solid ride with very even laps and came in at No. Erik Hægstad drives for KMC-Orbea and is number 74.
Overall, it’s great to see what we’ve built, it’s inspired us to take it further.
