Unstoppable Glimt embarrassing coincidence Odd: – Shameful and embarrassing

(Bodø/Glimt – Odd 7–0) Kjetil Knutsen’s men continued to put in a frightening run of form into a demanding and important fall. On Saturday, they have a real soccer lesson on their own turf against guests from Skien.

The show at Aspmyra on Saturday night had Eurosport commentators and pundits clapping for the home team and shaking their heads at the guests.

– It is impossible to comprehend and understand how naked this Odd team is. They face a superior force that is very difficult to stop, says commentator Petter Bø Tosterud.

– Shameful and embarrassing, adds expert Christian Gauseth before continuing:

– They should give personal apologies to those who have appeared on Aspmyra. It’s not included at this level here.

HERJET: Amahl Pellegrino and Hugo Vetlesen were almost unstoppable against Odd on Saturday night.

– Brutal

Because yellow and black don’t give up until they put seven balls into Odd’s goal.

Even though the away team tried to defend themselves with plenty of players in their own area, that couldn’t stop Amahl Pellegrino and Hugo Vetlesen.

They recorded two and three scores respectively before Runar Espejord and Ulrik Saltnes made it 7-0.

It was actually Odd’s biggest draw loss since 0–7 against Rosenborg in 2011.

In other words, it was a dark night for Pål coach Arne “Paco” Johansen.

– It’s brutal and emphasizes how good it was to beat them a month ago. We can fight for the league title in Lithuania, but not in Norway, he started an interview with Eurosport after the game.

He believes his own team were only crippled by an early Glimt goal.

– Difficult experience. We have to go home, train and get better, he said.

The verdict was at least as harsh from the players.

– This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen on a soccer field. “We just need to apologize to everyone who supported Odd,” said goalkeeper Leopold Wahlstedt.

BLYTUNG DAY AT WORK: For Odd-back Josef Baccay (front) and goalkeeper Leopold Walhstedt.

“Now we are Bodø/Glimt,” coach Kjetil Knutsen said on the club’s Twitter account.

Since that shock 1-0 loss to Linfield in Champions League qualifier as of mid-July, Glimt have scored no less than 27 goals in the last five games in all competitions. That gives an average of 5.4 goals per game.

– Fantastic night. My first hattrick (three goals in the same game). It tastes amazing. “Unforgettable night, quite simply,” Hugo Vetlesen told Eurosport after the game.

It took just a quarter of an hour for Pellegrino to score 1-0 from a sharp corner and into the far corner. Some time later, Vetlesen won’t be any worse off. From distance and in front of Odd’s passive and supportive defence, he hit the ball into the crossbar from about 16 yards.

The offensive duo both scored one goal each in the last minute of the first half. Only when Pellegrino took advantage of a poor defensive error by Odds Thomas Rekdal. From a distance of 20 meters he put the ball into a half-empty net.

A minute later, Vetlesen took charge of a superb display of the game as he circled in Odd’s 16-yard area with the aforementioned Salomon Owusu and Rekdal before scoring 4-0.

Several visitors from Skien saw Vetlesen improve to 5-0, before Runar Espejord and Ulrik Saltnes made the insult finish.

Another Champions League qualifier awaits on Tuesday, while Glimt travels to Sarpsborg for another league fixture in a week’s time.
