US will consider disconnecting Russia from GPS

The US is studying Russia’s disconnection from the Global Positioning System (GPS), says general director of Russian aerospace company Roscosmos

“Did you know that now, as part of the sanctions, United States of America are discussing the possibility of disconnection Russia that GPS? (…) You do not know. But I can say that this possibility is being discussed,” said Dmitri Rogozin.

However, he added, there is no reason to “panic” about it, considering that every smartphone is also connected to the internet. Global Navigation Satellite System (Glonass)made in Russia, which in this case will continue to work. Many countries condemned the military operation Russia launched in Ukraine on February 24 and activated several batteries of individual and sectoral sanctions in an attempt to pressure Moscow to end its military operations.
