The INRIX Global Traffic Scorecard 2022 measures traffic conditions in more than 1,000 cities in 50 countries on seven continents and provides a global picture of how mobility problems are worsening around the world.

The company uses big data and analytics from multiple sources to measure road conditions in major urban centers around the world.

The 2022 report highlights that despite rising fuel prices and inflationary pressures, the data shows traffic rate growth.

INRIX highlights that in the United States, in 2022 traffic will increase by 1% compared to the previous year, while in the UK and Germany the growth rates will be 4% and 21% respectively.

-For the second year, London is the most densely populated city in the world. On average, a London driver loses 156 hours in traffic. Chicago is second with 155 hours.

American drivers lose an average of 51 hours due to traffic jams in 2022, 15 hours more than in 2021. In the UK, drivers lose 80 hours, with an increase of 7 hours.

-According to INRIX analysisTraffic patterns in the world are starting to look more similar to 2019 and the morning rush hour is the most traditional, but gradual increases are being reported throughout the day.
