SUR and SUR in English this week are holding a conference entitled ‘English and Spanish, building strategic relationships’ where different experts in economics, tourism or trade will debate in different presentations.
With sponsorship from the Malaga City Council, Costa del Sol Provincial Council and Tourism and Planning, conference participants were: political adviser Matthew Woods, from the Political and Economics section of the British Embassy in Spain; lvaro Nadal, Minister of Economy and Trade of the Spanish Embassy in the United Kingdom; Eduardo Barrachina, president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the UK; Miriem Diouri, member of the Governing Council of the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain; Manuel Butler, director of the Spanish Tourism Office in London; Pedro Bendala, director of Malaga Airport; José Luque, president of AEHCOS; Juan José Sanz, Special Delegate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation at Campo de Gibraltar; Jordi Laguarda, Minister for Trade and Investment at the British Embassy in Spain; Vicente Padilla, CEO and Co-founder of AERTEC; Jesús Manuel Amores, director of the Vodafone Innovation Center in Malaga; Adrian Massam, President of NABS – Association of British Schools in Spain; Alan McDyre, president of the ACEIA Andalusian Association of Language Teaching Centers.
