Arrival manufactures the first check van in Bicester

Arrival announces creation of the first verification van in Bicester

Arrival has announced that they have produced his first electric van verification at its micro plant in Bicester, UK, using own technology This includes: composite materials, autonomous mobile robots, proprietary components, and software-defined factories.

From the company, they ensured that this milestone was big step towards serial production and delivery of vehicles to customers. Arrival Founder and CEO Denis Sverdlov said:

“Today is an important day for Arrival. This is the first time a vehicle has been built at our micro-factory, with a new method that does not use traditional assembly lines. Although we haven’t reached serial production yet, we are focused on achieving it. We will continue to manufacture vehicles in our micro-factory to master large-scale production.

This is more difficult than we previously imagined, and I thank the team for the tremendous effort, technology, innovative advances and problem solving.”

The first and next vans are used for testing, validation and quality control this whole year.

Let’s remember that, in addition to the electric van, Arrival is developing and marketing other productssuch as the electric car born out of a partnership with Uber or the electric bus which, after starting tests at the end of last year, was certified for use in the EU last May.
