The Versius robot performs minimal access surgery which reduces incision size and possible complications.

A hospital in England uses a robot by the name version to make a minimal access operation. Versius saves a man’s life by removing a tumor cancer 5 cm from the esophagus. The minimal access operation is marked with reduce the size of the incision and possible complications.

Versius features a fully wrist-operated suite of instruments and enhanced HD 3D views that help surgeons get a high level of precision.

Surgeons from Gloucestershire Royal Hospital performed esophagectomy to remove a 5 cm tumor from a named patient martin nugent. “Having a second chance to see my grandchildren, my children and my wife means a lot to me,” said Nugent.

CMR Surgical, maker of robotic surgeons, describes the machine on its website:

“The fully robotic suite of instruments, combined with enhanced HD 3D vision, offers surgeons a high level of precision when performing complex procedures or in hard-to-reach areas.”

The machines feature a lightweight and modular design that allows them to be moved easily from one department to another. Also, use a V wrist technology which allows it to be used in almost any operating room.
