In “I Have an Idea” Podcast.influencers Diego Mendiburu and Ophelia Pastrana presented their social project and they were a part of chevening scholarshipa program in the United Kingdom to study a master’s degree and be able to undertake their change project.

From their trenches, Ophelia and Diego had done it social causes that support the LGBT communityusing tools such as politics, mobile apps, social networking platforms to combat various issues from their concerns, the quest for diversity, inclusion of human rights, even fixing holes and water leaks.

How to choose and support social causes?

It is important to consider what we want to do and why, especially if there is a vulnerable group we want to help create opportunities for those who might be lacking. Regardless of whether the goal is a small matter, you can make a big impact in your community from just one person, such as repairing potholes, installing street lights, etc.

It is important to detect whether there is an organization, program or technology resource that you can use to carry out your project. You can also identify what has been done before to catch bugs and offer something new that might work, so you know what you need to help. Ophelia and Diego advise that curiosity will enable us to be open to things we previously ignored, or to our “privileges” that did not concern us.

What is a Chevening Scholarship?
