The main problem of business complexity

An expert group of professionals in more than 85 TMF Group offices support their clients with legal, financial, human resources and payroll services. Starting from the premise that “uncomplicated trade and investment spurs economic growth”, Mark Weil, CEO of TMF Group, pointed out that “as in previous years, some of the least complicated places to operate are small offshore economies”. .

optimum environment

GBCI 2022 determined that the 10 easiest jurisdictions to do business are Great Britain, Norway, New Zealand, United States, Jersey, British Virgin Islands, Hong Kong, Denmark, Curaçao and the Cayman Islands. To establish this classification, variables such as legislation, favorable tax regimes, regulations on human resources and payroll, and changes in the post-pandemic era are taken into account.

GBCI identifies the drivers of simplification that support the demonstrated environment, such as political, social and economic stability, digital competence of citizens, clear and defined norms or laws, and international harmonization.

In the case of the United Kingdom (UK), it can be seen that it has for the first time been placed in this simplest 10 jurisdiction category, as the government has made incorporation of new companies more flexible. Norway, Denmark, New Zealand and other jurisdictions stand out for their high levels of digitization and automation. The United States remains on the list along with Hong Kong as a giant of its progressive approach and interest in lowering tax rates. While the Cayman Islands rank as the easiest GBCI jurisdiction due to the fluidity of its accounting and tax regulations.

The Global Corporate Complexity Index has become a one-stop guide for assessing the best environment for growing economically, safely, and quickly.
