Starting January 1, 2023, Pieter Jordaan will take up the vacant position as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at international tour operator TUI Group.
The changes take place after October 2022, CEO Sebastian Ebel has assumed overall responsibility for IT on the Executive Board and instead Ebel will report to Jordaan.
Jordaan will lead the Information Technology Team and will be responsible for implementing strategic IT priorities: dynamic production expansion, new products such as Room Only and Flight Only, expansion of TUI applications, as well as further deployment of Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) in the western region .
Originally from South Africa, Jordaan has been with TUI for over eight years and for the last three years, he has led technology development and harmonization of the Group’s platforms as Group Technology Director.
Additionally, he modernized the company’s IT infrastructure and was responsible for the successful implementation of its cloud strategy.
Prior to TUI, he worked for various IT consultancies in the UK.
