This Ministry of Energy and European Union (EU) initiative provides co-finance of up to $60 million to implement self-consumption projects through renewable energy, aimed at micro, small, medium and large enterprises.

Minister Pardow emphasized that this initiative “will enable companies of all sizes to join the renewable energy transition with technologies that will enable them to reduce the costs associated with their production processes and also, very importantly, reduce their carbon footprint.”

Meanwhile, EU Ambassador in Chile, León de la Torre Krais, said: “With this new call, the EU strengthens its commitment to collaborate with Chile on climate change mitigation, in this case together with the private sector, promoting the use of renewable energy. energy. We look forward to receiving new proposals to include practical, efficient and innovative solutions that will enable us to achieve our common climate goals.”

Through this initiative, it will be possible to co-finance renewable energy projects for electrical, thermal or cogeneration energy, through any renewable technology for self-consumption. The contest will be open until March 31, 2023.
