failure registered in Outlook, Teams, and 365 affecting millions of users

Microsoft Corp has reported a network issue affecting many of its services, such as Teams and Outlook, this Wednesday morning. System outages are global and the company has received many outage reports saying that the platform is unusable for thousands of users worldwide.

Microsoft hasn’t disclosed the number of users affected by this failure, but data from websites reporting this type of issue’downdetector‘ has collected over 3,900 incidents in India and over 900 in Japan. Reports of outages have also increased in Australia, the UK and the United Arab Emirates.

“We have identified a potential network issue and are reviewing telemetry to determine next steps to be taken,” Microsoft explained in a tweet.

During an outage, most users are unable to do so exchange messages, participate in calls, or use any feature from the Teams app. These applications are used by more than 280 million people worldwide for work or even in educational centers, and allow you to make calls, schedule meetings or manage work.

Following the incident on the service, many users took to Twitter to share updates about the outage, with the hashtag #MicrosoftTeams quickly trending on the social network.

Among the other services affected are also Microsoft ExchangeOnline, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business, according to the company’s page.
