Hamelink replaces Naïm Abou-Jaoudé as CEO taking control of New York Life Investment Management, the global investment management business of New York Life, Candriam’s parent mutual life insurance company.

Hamelink reduced the position of CEO to Naïm Abou-Jaoudewho took control of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM), New York Life’s global investment management business, reciprocal life insurance company Candriam, In turn, Renato Guerriero, Director General of Sales and Distribution, will serve as Deputy CEO responsible for Development and Distribution Global for Candriam.
Abou-Jaoude is already president of New York Life Investment Management International, another division of NYLIM. In his new role, Abou-Jaoudé will report to Alain Karaoglan, Director of Strategic Business at New York Life.

After a 30-year career in investment management, including 16 as CEO of Candriam, Abou-Jaoudé will assume the role of CEO of New York Life’s global investment management business on May 1, 2023. He will be responsible for the boutique’s global multi-operations, with offices in the US , UK, Europe, Asia, and Australia, as well as diversified US ETF and mutual fund operating platforms.
In the last decade, NYLIM has seen the assets it manages multiply reached $371 billion thanks to a combination of geographic expansion, organic initiatives and acquisitions. Nowadays, NYLIM’s international business represents 45% of total assets under management.
