Zero goals for the Arsenal women’s team
In addition to the many Premier League rivals who stumbled, one of United’s female rivals also had bad luck.
Arsenal played 0-0 away to West Ham, and after United’s 0-0 game against Everton the previous Sunday, it was great for Marc Skinner & co.
That is, Arsenal are still three points behind. The Gunners have played one game fewer, but also have a worse goal difference (+20) than United (+25). With the same scoreline as Arsenal, but with a worse goal difference (+14), is Manchester City. They have played the same number of games as United.
Next weekend, Manchester City play at home to β that’s right β Arsenal.
United at the back for City
Newcastle-West Ham 1-1
Everton-Arsenal 1-0
Chelsea-Fulham 0-0
Wolverhampton-Liverpool 3-0
Tottenham-Manchester City 1-0
While Manchester United did their job and won against Crystal Palace, United’s five challengers in the race for the top four have conceded points this weekend.
United are thus in third place – eight points behind Arsenal (United have played one more game) and only three points behind Manchester City.
Newcastle are in fourth position, two points behind.

Russo was honored with an honorary doctorate
Alessia Russo this week received an honorary doctorate in Christ Church University of Canterbury in recognition of sporting achievement and its role in raising awareness of women’s sport in the UK and around the world.
In his acceptance speech, Russo encouraged everyone to follow their dreams.
– Even though I’m young, I’m trying to find a path in my career, I want to encourage all of you to leave a legacy no matter what career you choose.
– In football, we say to leave the shirt better than the first time you put it on. I wore number 23 for Manchester United and wore it during the European Championship. It is a special number for me because one of my sporting idols, Michael Jordan, wore it throughout his long career.

Dyche confirmed as new manager of Everton
It had been a closely guarded secret for a few days but now Everton have confirmed that Sean Dyche is the club’s new manager.
The former Burnley manager has signed a contract until the 2024/25 season.
Everton are in the relegation zone, and therefore Frank Lampard was surprisingly sacked, and Dyche should have had a chance to use to stave off the blues’ relegation.
