UK looking for new governor of Gibraltar on LinkedIn: “It’s a demanding job”

The British government is looking The new governor of Gibraltar. This has been explained by the Office of Foreign Affairs (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) through job postings on LinkedIn offering vacancies for the position currently held by Vice Admiral Mr David Baja.

  • Work in partnership with the Chief Minister and the Government of Gibraltar, and support the policies and activities of the UK Government.
  • Acting as Commander in Chief of the British Armed Forces in Gibraltar. The Chief of the Defense Staff will ensure that any designated person, civilian or military, has the full support and information necessary to fulfill that function.
  • Playing a visible role in supporting public relations and maintaining a high public profile.
  • Lead a diverse team of local and UK-based staff, ensuring a single team approach, with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
