Create an image from text? Microsoft launched this artificial intelligence tool that makes it possible

Microsoft announced on Tuesday Bing Image Makera new tool powered by artificial intelligence (AI) that allows you to convert any text into an image.

“Powered by the latest DALL-E model from our OpenAI partner, Bing Image Creator lets you create images using only your own words to describe the image you want to view,” the company explained in a statement.

“Can you picture an astronaut walking through a galaxy of sunflowers?” one user asked Image Creator, in the example the company provided.

To which Bing Image Creator responded with four different stylized images of an astronaut walking through a galaxy of sunflowers seen from different angles.

The result is similar to what DALL-E users have been able to get for months, but with the difference that in the bottom margin of the image you can read a message that says: “Generated with Image Generator”.

Innovation on the way

The tool is available for Bing and Microsoft Edge users in preview, and is expected to be fully integrated into the Bing chat experience, the company notes.
