British company AC Cars has announced it will present its new Cobra GT model in April and it will be built at its headquarters in Donington.. The original AC Cobra later became the Shelby Cobra, and AC continued to build the model in its wake, along with other luxury sports models until 1980. The name has stuck, but AC announced a recent comeback.

It’s a brand new car but, as can be seen in its first pictures, it does its best to evoke the original, even though it doesn’t use any original parts.

The result is timeless cars featuring state-of-the-art materials and technology, such as the augmentation of analogue instruments with digital displays, while retaining old-school features with unique hand-finished elements on the interior. And that’s before we get to the power figures.
This sportier and more modern beast That produces 663 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque from the V8 engine. Total weight comes to 1,500kg, even with power windows, climate control and a full infotainment system.. AC further promises a full list of features and options at launch.
