Multi-instrumentalist Bill Laurance brings the best of fusion jazz to Chile.
Bill Laurence stands out in Great Britain as one of the most promising jazz players. We will be able to see the same talent in Chile on June 15th, the day he will take the stage with his band.
lauren41, has been in the UK jazz scene for a long time, though that doesn’t limit him to exploring other worlds such as classical or electronic music. Out of that mix was born a version of jazz fusion like never before.
With over a dozen solo releases, including live recordings such as London Jazz Festival 2021we can see the latest studio production: affinityserved only in October 2022.
To these works was added a long list of publications Snarky Puppywith whom he has released twelve albums, in addition to collaborations with artists such as david crosby, Ana Silvera, eddy robert and many more.
Primarily a pianist, Laurence started to shine early, withUndertook a residency at a place in the classic Soho neighborhood in London’s West End when he was just 14 years old. Now, in 2023, the musician has been invited as a professor at well-known institutions such as Contemporary Music Performance Institute.
Heavily influenced by technology in recent years, that even remains the main theme of his albums Cable In 2019, Laurence continues to consolidate himself in a select group of very talented musicians, even considered by Guardian as “jazzmaster”.
