Found by a man with a knife in his own apartment
Police in Trøndelag felt compelled to go to an address in central Trondheim after reports of knife threats on Friday afternoon.
– When the apartment owner came home, thieves came out of his apartment. The perpetrator threatened the victim with a knife while walking past the victim, police wrote on Twitter.
Operations manager at the police, Wenche Johnsen confirmed to TV 2 that the police are now looking for the perpetrators.
The victim had just come home from work when he found someone had broken into the apartment. As he was about to enter, the person in question came out and the man saw that the perpetrator had something in his hand, said Johnsen.
When asked what the person was doing in the apartment, the perpetrator took out a knife and pointed it at the owner of the apartment.
– He called the police and we are now hunting for the culprit and have received a description, said Johnsen, who added that there must be no connection between the two.
– Is there any danger to other people in the city center?
– No, that’s not it. He’s caught off guard and reacts to casualties, so we don’t see him as a danger to others in central Trondheim.
The first report came to the police at 17.03.
