The agreement renewed the award of Chevening scholarships to study in England

With cocktails being offered in Jaragua hotel facilities, the signing of the agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mescyt) and the British embassy, ​​which awarded eight Chevening scholarships to Dominican students, was celebrated.

Franklin García Fermín, Minister for Higher Education, and British Ambassador, Mockbul Ali, received the guests, among them students who received a glass of wine on arrival to toast the importance of the event.

García Fermín appreciates the benefits of the Chevening scholarship to the country, “which Dominican professionals have access to, thanks to the good relations that have developed between our countries, arising from the respectful treatment we have accorded ourselves throughout history”.

With this agreement, each year there will be a maximum of eight scholarships in special programs and masters at UK universities for Dominican students in various fields of study. Some of these fields are Agriculture, Extractive Industries, Education, Infrastructure, Science, Engineering and Mathematics…
