New start-up Top Doctors has raised eight million euros in debt in operations led by Singapore-based fund Mars Growth Capital, in its first operations in our country, and the Israeli fintech Liquidity Group, which specializes in lending capital for growth companies based on the SaaS business model .

The company, which provides technology to the healthcare sector, joins other startups such as MyInvestor, Housfy or Exxotica which have in recent months turned to debt as a financing alternative given a slowdown in venture capital investment and plunging ratings.

Top Doctors offers digital tools that allow users to have access to more than 90,000 experts from 50 medical specialties, while providing healthcare professionals with telemedicine solutions, online presence and brand image.

More than 100 million users worldwide have identified a healthcare professional through their app and about two million have made an appointment.

With these funds, the Barcelona-based start-up plans to make acquisitions to accelerate its growth plans and increase the company’s product offerings, as explained by its CEO, Alberto E. Porciani.

Founded a decade ago, Top Doctors is present in Spain, Italy, UK, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina and Saudi Arabia. Last year, the company closed with revenue of 18.5 million dollars (16.3 million euros), 30% higher than in 2021.

The Catalan start-up’s last fundraiser came in October 2021, when it announced a $13 million series B round led by French venture capital manager Impact Partners and with participation from the Institut Català de Finances (ICF), via the Venture Tech II fund.
