If it weren’t for the quality, the container villages in Qatar could quickly move to England.
That’s what the British newspapers wrote Telegraph Wednesday night.
The paper writes that the UK Home Office considered buying containers to house migrants arriving in Britain, but talks broke down in early December due to the “too low quality” of the containers.
The poor quality of the container is suspected to be due to damage to the air conditioner and a leaky toilet.
– The number of people seeking asylum and needing housing in the UK has reached a record high, and has put a lot of pressure on the asylum system. It is true that the Government is exploring various options to ensure we provide safe and suitable housing for the people for whom we are responsible,” a spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs told The Telegraph.
A night in a container village in Qatar costs 170 pounds, the equivalent of around NOK 2,000.
