MADRID, September 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –
British Intelligence Services indicated on Saturday that “extreme friction” was occurring among senior officials of the Russian Armed Forces as the invasion of Ukraine progressed.
Therefore, they have warned that there is a “high degree of rotation” in these positions and pointed out that, since the start of the invasion in February 2022, three commanders of one of the main regiments “have resigned or been killed.”
“This highlights the extreme fatigue of the Russian military deployed even among the relatively high ranks,” British Intelligence said in a brief statement released by the Ministry of Defense.
On Friday, British officials noted that Russia and Ukraine had recently experienced “attacks of unusual intensity” in areas far from the front lines, in an attempt by both countries to “attack the strategic depths of the enemy.”
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched a series of new missiles against targets on the Crimean peninsula that have caused damage to Russian fleet bases in the Black Sea, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
