Historic change in Britain: Keir Starmer vows to implement ‘different policies’

Buoyed by the strong election result that put him in this new position, the Labour leader has formed his working Cabinet and announced that “for the first time in more than 20 years, we have a majority in England, Scotland and Wales.”

Labor Party Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdomemphasized that the management will focus implementing “different policies”“, after becoming the new ruler of the islands supported by the large majority who voted for him in the recent elections.

Through a press conference held from the government headquarters, Starmer announced that he would visit the four countries that make up the United Kingdom. (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), driven by a “clear mandate” that he wants to implement.

“For the first time in more than 20 years, we have a majority in England, Scotland and Wales and this is a clear mandate to govern in all four corners of the UK and therefore, I leave tomorrow to be in all four countries,” he commented.

The Prime Minister will begin his trip in Scotland, then appear in Northern Ireland, then travel to Wales and finally return to England, for “setting out ways of working across the UK, which will be different and better than in recent years”he has stated.

“Achieving change” in Britain, Starmer’s aim

In other aspects of his speech, he stated that he was able to face the fiscal challenges his administration would face with “total honesty,” but he announced that he would have to “make tough decisions and make them quickly.”

His “number one mission” is economic growth in the archipelago. and that they will seek to ensure “that this growth occurs across all regions of the country.”

Starmer will travel to Washington this Tuesday to participate in the NATO summit.

Next Tuesday, Starmer will travel to Washington to attend a summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), where he plans to make clear his intention to build an alliance with the international organization. Security and defense will be the “first order” of his fledgling government.
