Slovenian cross-country skier Hana Mazi Jamnik, 19, died in a tragic roller ski accident in Norway on Thursday. Now his girlfriend Anze Gros (20) comes with a heartbreaking post on social media.

“We planned our lives and wanted to be together until the end,” wrote 20-year-old cross-country skier Anze Gros. Instagram about Hana Mazi Jamnik’s girlfriend who died in a roller ski accident in the Botsheim tunnel on the Strand village earlier this week.
“I will miss our philosophy on cross-country skiing and life in general,” he continued.

Gros and Jamnik are cross-country skiers who have big goals for their careers. The two went to the junior WC at Lygna last year, among other things.
Gros took 4th place from the sprint for his best result in junior career.
He also made his World Cup debut during a team sprint in Dresden in December 2021.
“I love you. Now I will go for us,” he concluded in an Instagram post.

On Thursday morning, a truck and someone skiing were involved in an accident in the Botshei tunnel in the municipality of Strand. A truck driver has been charged after the fatal crash. The man’s defense attorney, Sigurd Rønningen, said Stavanger Aftenblad that he pleaded not guilty.
