AI-generated websites are already confused with human-generated ones

Artificial intelligence already makes it possible to create web pages, with almost the same functionality and design that a professional would achieve. To check the scope of AI can lead to website apparently created by a designer, company Sortlist has conducted a survey among 500 employers from five different countries to see if they can really distinguish AI-generated pages from human-generated pages.

To carry out this survey, which was conducted during the month of June, five websites were developed: two were created by a design agency and the other three were generated by different artificial intelligence tools. 54.38% of those surveyed did not know how to distinguish the authorship of this website design, while the remaining 45.62% did..

Regarding the priority set by the company when creating a website, security takes the first place in the ranking. ranking. In second place are images and visuals and in third place copy and text. Lastly, those surveyed are responsible for ranking last back end and integration. This classification establishes the preferences of Spanish companies but if the priorities in other countries are observed, we can see that, for example, in France images and visuals are of prime concern. On the other hand, security is also a top concern for employers in Germany, the UK and the Netherlands.

Spanish entrepreneurs trust AI

Another fact that is visible in the Sortlist report is the acceptance of AI by SMEs. Thus, 67% of participants in this study are willing to consider artificial intelligence to create a new website from scratch. In Spain, 81% would use this technology, unlike in the UK, where only 59% would choose this option. In terms of optimizing this website, 87% of surveyed Spanish companies would use it for improvement. On the other hand is France, with a better AI adoption rate of 65%.

The study also highlights copy and copywriting as the most popular areas of web enhancement for AI. But this is the case for Spain. If observed per country, in Great Britain, they think that the field that can be helped the most by this technology is SEO; in France, they believe that pictures and visuals; In Germany, the area of ​​optimization through AI par excellence is security and in the Netherlands, as in our country, copy and text.

Finally, Sortlist measures the probability that Spanish SMEs have to work with agencies that use artificial intelligence. The data stands as follows: 71% are willing to do so, compared to 62% globally.
