The new logistics center will have a total of 141,000 square meters and will employ between one thousand and two thousand people. The company has started hiring technology and innovation professionals.
The new jobs created will bring the company’s total workforce in the region to 6,000 full and part time positions and the company’s investment in the region to over £1.7 billion since 2010.

The warehouse is Amazon’s fourth logistics hub in the North East of Englandwith a £450 million (€520 million) unit at Wynyard Park set to showcase the company’s next-generation systems powered by custom robotic technology.
