To the unequivocal question about whether any officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be traveling from Mexico to London to the coronation, Social Communications answered “no, just him”.

González-Blanco is ambassador to the United Kingdom Since 23 April 2021, he was previously a member of the cabinet of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, which put him in charge of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, between 1 December 2018 to May 2019.
He is a well-known environmentalist in collaboration with British environmental organizations for the rescue and reintroduction of wild species in Chiapas and for the development of a plastic recycling center.

He resigned from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources after 24 May 2019 delayed the Aeroméxico flight for 38 minutes went from Mexico City to Mexicali. The secretary then called the company which grounded the flight until he boarded the plane. He resigned the next day after the facts were announced.
