Argentina is distinguished by the quality of its public university education, which attracts young people from neighboring countries to study in the country. In this academic excellence, the University of Buenos Aires (UBA)which has a history of more than 200 years, included in the top 50 universities in the world in the global ranking of higher study houses.

The parameter of their positioning is not the career itself, but the field of study covered by this profession.

Learning QS World University Rankings by Subject revealed that of the five areas evaluated, two were in the top 50 globally. In all cases, UBA rose in position compared to previous years and obtained the first national position, Besides sanctifying himself as eighth in Latin America.

Because of that, UBA continues to be at position 67 in the global ranking of universities as a whole and come to 21st place in a chart dividing educational institutions by area of ​​study or “subject” in English.

Those in charge of preparing the list explained that what counts for the classification “is the reputation gained from the perception survey, as well as the number of ‘papers’ published and cited in specialized magazines.”

“This confession is encouragement to continue working in the same direction and continue to position itself as a benchmark in the fields of science and educationboth regionally and globally”, explained the Chancellor of UBA, Ricardo Gelpi.

UBA managed to rank above all Argentine universities, placing itself in first place and being the best in the country. Themes from UP, UCA, UNLP and ITBA were also highlighted.

On a general global level and not on a “training area” basis, position one belongs to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) United States, followed by University of Cambridge in England and standford university in third place.

UBA, among the top 50 in the world

In a thematic assessment, UBA was in the top 50 in two subject areas: Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences and Management, and certain fivewhile in 11 categories it is in the top 100 and in 29 in the global top 200.
