MADRID, October 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –

“There is speculation that Putin’s election campaign will begin informally in November 2023,” they said, before stressing that “although elections in Russia are subject to Kremlin interference and control, they remain a fundamental tool of political legitimacy.”

They also emphasized that “in the run-up to the elections, the Kremlin will almost certainly try to minimize unpopular political actions” and added that it is “highly unlikely that a new wave of mobilization will be launched before the elections.” March 2024 presidential election”.

“Putin’s election campaign will almost certainly focus on the issue of Russia as a separate civilization that needs to defend itself from external enemies, a narrative often used to justify state actions and Putin’s consolidation of power,” they stressed.
