Britain strengthens its troops to “deter” alliance between Russia and North Korea

British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps has warned of this Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to North Koreaemphasizing that this should be taken as a serious “warning.”

Shapps has stressed the need to strengthen the Armed Forces to counter the rise of this “new axis of tyranny”.

The UK Defence Secretary described images of a military parade held in Pyongyang during Putin’s visit as “bizarre”.

On his social networks, he explained that these images should be considered a “warning” that both countries are working to undermine freedoms.

“By strengthening our Armed Forces we will be able to deter them,” Shapps wrote, directing his warning primarily in the domestic context, with a snap election scheduled for July 4.

“The Labor Party wants to leave us helpless while the enemy stalks us,” he added.

Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Unsigned a “strategic partnership” agreement with a mutual defense clause in the event of aggression during Putin’s visit, the first in 24 years, according to Europa Press.
