Britain will allocate funds to protect Jewish communities

CST previously reported that antisemitism incidents in the UK in 2023 reached the highest level in almost 40 years amid the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

According to Sky News, the funds will be used to provide security guards, install CCTV cameras and alarm systems at locations visited by members of the Jewish community.

The prime minister indicated he would continue his efforts to ensure the safety of Jews living in Britain and combat anti-Semitism.

At the same time, Sunak condemned the increasing threats and intimidation that British politicians increasingly face.

A day earlier, the British Home Office announced the allocation of £31 million to strengthen security measures for MPs amid increasing threats to politicians due to the situation in the Middle East.

Local media reported that some lawmakers were intimidated by Islamic extremists and noted increasing threats against right-wing politicians.

Earlier, ruling Conservative Party lawmaker Mike Freer said he would leave parliament out of fear for his safety.
