Costa Rica will now have a new opportunity to study abroad, thanks to the British Embassy, which is looking for professionals who interested in applying for the Chevenning program scholarshipwith the aim of producing a positive impact on the country.
This program aims to professionals return to Costa Rica when they finish their studies and who are well equipped to make a professional and social difference.
According to the embassy, applications must go through an electronic screening process with eligibility criteria and deemed ineligible will be eliminated for the selection process.
So far four Costa Rican players have been part of the favorites who will study the following careers: Marine Ecosystems and Policy at the University of Edinburgh, Power, Participation and Social Change at the University of Sussex, Public Policy Innovation and Public Value at University College London and Global Development at Queen Mary University London.
Currently, a number of scholarship recipients have not been formed and This year’s applicants are expected to receive their scholarship in September 2023.
Requirements
Those interested in applying for this scholarship must meet the following conditions:
– Be a citizen of a country or region that is eligible for Chevenning (Costa Rica is one of them)
– Return to their home country for a minimum of two years after their grant expires.
– Have completed all components of a university degree that would allow you to enter a postgraduate program at a UK university at the time of submitting your application. This is usually the equivalent of an upper second class honors degree in the UK, but can vary depending on the course and university you choose.
– Have at least two years or 2,800 hours of work experience.
– Apply for three different eligible UK university programs and have received an unconditional offer of one of these options by 13 July 2023.
