Nicaragua’s Minister of Family, Youth and Children, Johana Vanessa Flores Jiménez, was dismissed from her post this Tuesday by the country’s president, Daniel Ortega, reports the Official Gazette La Gaceta.
The Sandinista leader, who has been in power since 2007, did not explain the reasons for the official’s removal.
Through presidential approval, Ortega canceled the appointment of Flores Jiménez as Head of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Children, whom he appointed on July 7, 2018.

And he appointed Olga Concepción Escobar Fonseca as the new Minister of Family, Youth and Children, who since 20 August 2019 until now has served as Deputy Minister of Youth, Youth and Children in this portfolio.
The President of Nicaragua also appointed Ana Valeria Molina Munguía as Deputy Minister of Youth, Youth and Children in the Ministry of Families, Youth and Children.

Ortega presented this appointment to the National Assembly (Parliament), where the ruling party has an absolute majority, for ratification.
