The Expo Perú Los Andes 2022 exhibition is a great window of opportunity for the future of economic investment in Apurímac as it is the first time such an event has been held in the region, said regional governor, Baltazar Lantarón Núñez.

He indicated that the arrival of more than 20,000 visitors is expected, as well as the presence of representatives of 25 international companies from countries such as the US, Canada, UK, Spain, Taiwan, Argentina, Brazil, among others, who will participate in the business conference organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru. for Export and Tourism (Promperú) and where it is expected to close the deal for about 15 million sol.

“The expectations are very high. This is the first time Expo Peru will be held in Apurímac, from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 September, with the participation of the Andean Commonwealth consisting of Apurímac, Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Ica, Cusco and Junín, moreover other regions have been invited”, he stressed.

In a statement to Andean agencyThe governor said products such as quinoa, coffee, cocoa, avocado will be exhibited in addition to handicrafts, textiles and environmental and mining issues will also be discussed.

He then mentioned gastronomic events and textile production thanks to alpaca textile fibers as well as artisanal mining companies that will also participate in the Peru Expo.

Miners will demonstrate their environmental, labor and social support policies such as daily irrigation of the roads they use; water monitoring and subsequent acid water treatment plants, reforestation of treeless spaces, solid waste recycling, among others.

“We have no doubt that Expo Peru Los Andes will boost the regional economy because business rounds will be generated with foreign and national capital and this will strengthen the reactivation of the economy in times of crisis,” he said.

This is important because we are currently experiencing a recession as there is no investment and political stability is also needed, therefore Expo Peru will allow investments that will benefit the regional economy.

In this regard, Lantaron highlighted the presence of government authorities such as the minister of Midagri, Foreign Trade, regional governors and various organizations.

Increase tourism

Other times, the governor of Apurímac places special emphasis on tourism as it is also an opportunity to promote the sector that powers the entire economy and where one of the main attractions is Choquequirao. or the archaeological complex of Sayhuite, Sondor, Taraccasa Ecological Park, known as El Mirador, Ampay National Sanctuary, Apurímac River Gorge, and others.

He then said that the Peru Andean Expo would open with a parade with the participation of the participating regional delegates who would give color and excitement to the interregional event to quickly move on to the international business round table.

Expo Peru Los Andes 2022 will be held from September 16 to Sunday 18 and will take place at the facilities of the El Olivo Sports Complex in Abancay, where more than 100 booths have been set up.
