Fortune announced its 2023 edition of the Most Influential Women in Business list, featuring established and emerging leaders from around the world. Now entering its twenty-sixth year, Most Power Women celebrating 100 leading women entrepreneurs representing industries including finance, technology, healthcare, telecommunications, retail and energy, among others.

The top 10 most influential women in business according to Fortune 2023 are:

1. Karen S. Lynch, President and CEO, CVS Health (USA)
2. Julie Sweet, President and CEO Accenture (US)
3. Mary Barra, President and CEO, General Motors (USA)
4. Jane Fraser, CEO, Citigroup (US)
5. Jessica Tan, CEO, Co-CEO, Ping An (China)
6. Carol Tomé, CEO, UPS (US)
7. Emma Walmsley, CEO, GSK (UK)
8. Ruth Porat, President, CIO, CFO, Alphabet and Google (US)
9. Shemara Wikramanayake, Managing Director and CEO, Macquarie, Australia
10. Gail Boudreaux, President and CEO, Elevance Health (USA)

This year’s list of the Most Influential Women in Business is the most comprehensive ever recorded and is the first time Fortune has had a single global list honoring 100 women. The new global reach and larger scale of this list recognizes the nature of the work of senior executives (spanning the globe), as well The number of women leading Fortune 500 companies is nearly record-breakingthe company with the largest revenues in the United States, and Fortune Global 500, the largest companies in the world.

In total, the list including 67 women in executive director positionssome of them have recently assumed management positions.

Fate wrote: “The business world is demanding change and female leaders are seizing the moment“, and noted that as CEOs step down, more women are asked to replace them. In the first half of this year, 106 CEOs worldwide left their jobs. Of the CEO replacements, 13% were women, up from 2.4% in 2018.

Many of the women on the 2023 list will speak or attend the conference Fortune’s Most Influential Women Summit in Laguna Niguel, CA, October 9-11.
