Four Catalan business schools, including twenty of the best in Europe

Four business schools are based in Barcelona (IESE Business School, ESADE, EADA and EAE), to which is added the ESIC Business & Marketing School, which is based in Madrid, although it is part of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) since its main campus is in Barcelona, ​​​​appeared in the recent ‘top twenty’ rankings Bloomberg Businessweek Europe’s Best B-Schools 2023-24which recognizes the best business schools and MBA programs in Europe.

Specifically, IESE is in second place, only behind SDA Bocconi which is headquartered in Milan (Italy) and ahead of IMD which is in Lausanne (Switzerland) which is in third place. They are followed by INSEAD, in Fontainebleau (France), London Business School (England) and, in sixth place, Madrid-based IE, which adds a sixth Spain-based business school to the ranking.

Mannheim (Germany), St. Gallen (Switzerland), Cambridge (England) and Oxford (England) complete the ‘top ten’. After them, the next ten business schools, reaching a total of twenty on this selective list, are in order ESADE, in Barcelona, ​​​​Cranfield, in Bedford (England), EDHEC, in Nice (France), ESIC, in Madrid and Barcelona, ​​​​Manchester (England), ESMT Berlin (Germany), Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), EADA (Barcelona), Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and EAE (Barcelona).

Ranking of this year’s edition BloombergBusinessweek gathers insights from graduate students, recent alumni and recruiters to measure and comment on MBA programs across Europe. Then evaluate them in four areas: compensation, learning, network and focus on entrepreneurship.

In the case of the second business school classified in this ranking, Barcelona IESE Business School, the results of this work put it in the number two position in Learning, with good results also in Network and Compensation, placing number three in both. . Finally, in the Entrepreneurial Approach, IESE took fifth place this year.

After IESE, the next Catalonia-based business school to appear on this list is ESADE, in eleventh position, namely number three in Europe in the field of entrepreneurship, while in learning it is in eighth position. Network (10) and compensation (12) complete your profile.

ESIC, which is part of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and is in 14th position in the general ranking, is the second European business school in Learning, tied with IESE Business School in that position, as both schools obtained the same score in this area. , with 89.4 out of 100. EADA, which is based in Barcelona and occupies 18th position in the European ranking, is ninth in the field of learning and occupies the number 15 position in entrepreneurship, 17th in compensation and 20th in the field of entrepreneurship. network.
