Gómez-Acebo & Pombo have signed Charles of the Tower as a Labor partner in the Madrid office. Until now a member of Baker & McKenzie, a firm where he has developed his career over the last eight and a half years, he has over thirty years experience in the field of Labor Law in Spain and the UK.

In particular, he specializes in labor advice for national and international companies, with special emphasis on corporate restructuring and collective layoffs, labor inspection, collective bargaining, substantial modification, labor audits or labor subrogations. His professional credit also includes advice on occupational accidents and occupational risk prevention, as well as in relation to Social Security contributions.

De la Torre, who is an inspector for Labor and Social Security on leave, has also been Minister for Development at the Spanish Embassy in London and Spain’s representative at the International Maritime Organization (IMO). With its merger into Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, the Labor team will consist of two partners, both located in the Madrid office, and more than 20 lawyers between the offices of Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona and Bilbao.
