The Spanish Institute of Tourism (Turespaña) and the airline company Jet2.com have signed an agreement for joint action to promote the company’s routes to Spain, at a time when connectivity is increasing between the two countries.
According to the statement, this agreement, which will be in force It will be valid for one year, can be extended for another, from publication in the Official Gazette, has a maximum planned investment of two million euros (including VAT), contributing to 50% of both sides.
The aim of the agreement is to promote Spanish destinations in the UK, as well as strengthen the positioning of Spanish destinations, products and travel experiences.
Actions to be taken must be agreed through a marketing plan between both parties and it is planned to carry out campaigns on UK media and payment channels, preferably ‘online’, in-house actions and marketing support actions in addition to paid media campaigns.
In this case, the final creativity will be agreed and the media plan will set monitoring indicators to be able to measure its success as a return on investment. In addition, actions and budgets will be distributed between 2022 and 2023.
Finally, it is hoped that other entities, public or private, who share the same goal of promoting Spanish destinations in the UK, as well as strengthening the position of Spain’s tourist destinations, products and experiences, can join the agreement. Entities that comply will receive the appropriate economic commitments, Turespaña has clarified.
