Haddad and Campos Neto receive international publication award | Economy

Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, and President of the Central Bank (BC), Roberto Campos Neto, received the sixth (13th) award from Latin Finance magazine, a publication specializing in economics in Latin America and the Caribbean. Both formats are considered the best in their respective functions in the region.

The award was presented in Marrakesh, not Morocco, where Haddad and Campos Neto participated this Saturday (14) in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. The meeting brought together finance ministers and Central Bank presidents from 189 countries and, as highlights, the financing reform of multilateral institutions and Brazil’s presidency of the G20, a group of 20 of the world’s largest economies.

The Central Bank and Fernando Haddad posted a photo of the award on our official profiles on social networks. “Well, look at more international recognition for the work of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank. The partnership occurred in Brazil’s interests. Congratulations, Minister Fernando Haddad,” wrote Campos in the post, with a photo of himself seen securing the prize next to the Minister of Finance.

In his official profile, Haddad also expressed his thanks for the recognition. “The awards presented by LatinFinance reflect joint and articulated efforts for sustainable economic growth in Brazil. “I thank the entire technical team of the Ministry of Finance, President Lula and all the actors who have put aside our slight differences and pushed forward our many agreements as a nation and a global actor,” said the Minister of Finance.

At this sixth fair, Haddad held a bilateral meeting with the UN deputy secretary general, Amina J. Mohammed; as executive director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Achim Steiner; e as the president of the World Bank, Ajay Banga. Haddad also met with the finance ministers of Indonesia, England and Portugal.

Haddad and Campos Neto will participate in the session of G20 finance ministers and Central Bank presidents. On Saturday (14), you will conclude your Moroccan commitments at the plenary session of the International Monetary and Financial Committee, the consultative body of the Quadro de Governantes do IMF.
