Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and located about 100 kilometers from London, served as the historic venue for the meeting.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is hosting his first international meeting since taking office on July 6, and will meet French President Emmanuel Macron and Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris on the sidelines of the summit.
Meanwhile, King Charles III will also participate in the meeting and will provide a reception for those attending the summit.
According to a press release from the Starmer government, the summit also aims to address some of the most pressing generational issues facing Europe today.
For the first time, representatives from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and the Council of Europe will attend.
According to local experts, this underlines the importance of unity to address conflicts and instability within and near Europe’s borders.
Reaffirming his commitment to a collaborative approach with European partners, Starmer, a strong supporter of Britain remaining in the EU, recently pledged to change the way the country interacts with its European partners.
The EPC, which was formed in October 2022, has held previous summits focusing on a range of pressing issues.
During the last meeting in Grenada, discussions were led by the UK on artificial intelligence and migration.
