Informative: Is the UN giving up on wheat? The UK will monitor the Black Sea and AMLO’s mega projects
Words from Europe as, according to German newspaper BILD, the UN said it was negotiating with Russian authorities over the resumption of the cereal agreement. The news from Germany is based on a letter from the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, which he sent on August 28 to the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov. In it, Guterres proposed that the Russian authorities, in exchange for continuing the wheat agreement, conclude a four-point agreement between the UN and the Russian Federation.
This comes after the UK confirmed it would monitor the Black Sea to prevent Russia from attacking cargo ships. Britain’s military and security services will monitor the Black Sea in a bid to prevent Russia from attacking cargo ships carrying grain from Ukraine to developing countries. Additionally, London will host a world summit on food safety in November.
