Instagram subscriptions have expanded to more countries, including Spain, to offer creators a set of tools and functionality to share exclusive content with their followers.
Meta launched Instagram subscriptions last year in the United States, to give creators “a new way to deepen relationships with their most engaged followers while unlocking recurring monthly revenue.”
It is a set of tools and functions that allows customers to be offered a series of benefits in exchange for paying a monthly fee, as the company explains on its official blog.
Specifically, creators can share reels, posts, and stories and run exclusive live sessions for these types of followers. Information channels are also enabled to send the latest news only to this audience. And those who buy a subscription will be shown with a badge in comments and messages, to prioritize interactions with them.
The company has confirmed a subscription expansion, which will be available starting Monday in Spain, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico and the UK. Creators from these countries will see a new button on their profile that followers can use to access subscriptions.
